Appointment of Styxling to the Renasca Council
Appoint Styxling to the Renasca Council in recognition of their extensive development experience, institutional knowledge, sound judgment, and history within the community.

I propose that Styxling be appointed as a voting member of the Renasca Council. Styxling has extensive experience as the principal developer of the project that preceded Renasca and understands many of the technical, organizational, and ownership issues that shaped its history. This experience would give the council a valuable perspective when considering policy, technical standards, project continuity, contributor protections, and long-term planning. This appointment would not designate Styxling as a developer for Renasca or create any development obligation. They would remain free to contribute technically in the future if they choose, subject to the same coordination and approval standards governing other contributors. As a council member, Styxling would possess the council’s standard voting rights and responsibilities. They would be expected to disclose conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where appropriate. Upon passage, Styxling shall be formally offered a voting seat on the Renasca Council. The appointment shall take effect upon their acceptance.

Rationale
Styxling brings experience, judgment, and historical knowledge that would be difficult to replace. They understand both the practical challenges of maintaining a major project and the importance of protecting contributors’ work during leadership changes. Their appointment would strengthen the council without requiring them to take on a development role. It would also preserve a knowledgeable voice from the previous community while allowing Styxling to decide independently whether they ever wish to contribute to Renasca’s development.
